What’s new at LearnWithOliver.com

The last few months have been busy at LearnWithOliver. The biggest news are our Arcade games, a growing set of browser games that test your vocabulary while you play. There are now half a dozen of games, and each one uses words from the language you are learning. You can guide a snake, herd sheep, fire artillery shells. Other games include Muncher (PacMan), Asteroids, and many more. Every game works on your phone, has sound effects, and saves your high scores so you can climb the rankings.

The site itself has also had a fresh coat of paint, or rather many coats. There is now a large library of visual themes, so you can make the site look the way you want. Recent additions include a Risograph print style, a Solarpunk garden, an Art Deco hotel, and a blueprint drafting table. Every theme comes with a matching dark mode. Speaking of dark mode, it now loads instantly, with no white flash between the flashcard pages.

Under the hood, the dictionaries keep growing as well through large dictionary imports. The newsletter has a new design that looks good in dark mode.

There has never been a better time to log in, pick a theme, and lose an hour to the arcade. Thanks for learning with us, and see you on the rankings page.
